
Biography :
Dr. Koshila Ranasinghe is a Lecturer at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, specializing in molecular zoology. She holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Zoology with First Class and was awarded the prestigious Professor H.H. Costa Memorial Gold Medal and the Gold Medal from the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Science in recognition of her outstanding undergraduate performance. Dr. Ranasinghe completed her PhD at the same institution, becoming one of the youngest PhD graduates of the University of Kelaniya. Her research interests focus on molecular-based parasitology and microbiology, with particular emphasis on advanced diagnostic approaches and parasite and vector biology. In recognition of her research excellence, she has received the University Vice-Chancellor’s Merit Award for Outstanding Young Researcher, as well as multiple University Senate Honours for her contributions to high-quality research and publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
